

Constance "Connie" Legh-Page Griscom Bertolino (87) of Houston, entered into eternal rest and peace on January 14, 2011 at home after a 6 year battle with Alzheimer's disease. Connie was born to the late Edwin and Florence Griscom in Houston, Texas on July 30, 1923. She graduated from Jefferson Davis High School in 1941. In the spring of 1942, she married her high school sweetheart, Salvador John Bertolino. They had 7 children and were married for 63 years before his passing in 2004. She was a loving and loyal wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She will be missed greatly, loved beyond measure and remembered forever by the many she blessed with her simple graciousness, sense of humor, generosity, and tender loving heart.
She is survived by a large and loving family including her son John Bertolino and wife Nancy, son Richard "Jerry" Bertolino and wife Vicky, son Michael Bertolino and wife Johnnie Myers, daughter Ann Bertolino Kotal and husband Mark, daughter Carol Bertolino Marshall and husband Scott, son James Bertolino and wife Robyn, and daughter-in-law Debbie Bertolino; 13 grandchildren Stephen Bertolino and wife Malissa, Crystal Bertolino Cain and husband Josh, Gina Pierce Norton and husband Thomas, Thomas Coburn, Jamie Bertolino Bayless and husband Cory, Robert Bertolino, Christopher Shane Pierce and wife Ashley, Sean Marshall and wife Rebecca, Michael J. Bertolino, Derek Rogers, Lindsay Bertolino, Landon and Bailey Bertolino; 9 great-grandchildren Zan Bertolino, Jordan Bertolino, Devyn Bertolino, Toby Bayless, Madison Townsend, Rylie Bertolino, Saige Marshall, Rebekah Pierce, and Hunter Cain; brother Bertner Griscom and wife Sue, and sister-in-law Mary Bertolino Tucker. She is preceded into death by her parents, husband Salvador John Bertolino, brother Robert Schmidt and son Thomas Paul Bertolino.
The family will receive visitors from 5 PM to 8 PM on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale Ave., Houston, TX. A memorial service will be officiated by Bro. A. Dale Jones at 11 AM on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Forest Park Lawndale. A graveside blessing, given by Rev. Charles J. Borski, OMI, and interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that donations be made in memory of Mrs. S. J. Bertolino to the charity of one's choice.
