Dionicia Antu

Dionicia passed away peacefully at the age of 91, on March 2, 2017 to be with our Almighty Lord in Heaven. She was surrounded by her loving legacy - her family. She was preceded by her husband Carmen Antu, Sr. of 69 years. She is survived by her two daughters, Mary Antu Gomez(Joe+) , Yolanda Antu Eaton(Ray) four sons, Carmen Antu Jr, Robert Antu (Josie+), Margarito Antu (Dolores), Jesse Antu (Marie), as well as 16 grandchildren , 22 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, many devoted nieces and nephews . Dionicia was born to Dionicio and Modesta Lopez on May 14, 1925 in San Antonio, Tx. She was a Godly woman, loved everyone with all her heart unconditionally, enjoyed working as a cook for 25 years at Bertha's Mexican Restaurant and as a server for 26 years at Dinner Bell Cafeteria here in Houston Tx. She decided to retire at the age of 83. She was a proud Houstonian and friend to many, always taking in someone under her wing, always giving and doing for others before herself. She will always be remembered by her beautiful smile, loving, caring ways and heart-warming food. Heaven is now graced with the best tamale-maker ever! Among many other dishes !

Funeral services will be held on March 12, 2017 at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale Ave., Houston, Tx 77023.

Visitation : 12:00 pm. Service : 1:00 pm. Burial : 2:00 pm.
