Dolores attended Jefferson Davis (Northside) High school and graduated in 1980. She also joined the workforce as a co-op employee before becoming a full time employee. After 30+ years of working as a Title Clerk with Leasing Associates she could finally enjoy the life of retirement.
Dolores was a hard worker, caring sister and beloved wife. Like her father she never gave up; she was relentless, she was a fighter. Dolores loved being with her family but loved to spoil her nieces and nephews the most. She loved to dance and listen to music. She enjoyed watching documentaries on animals and crime stories. Dolores was an active member of the Garden Oaks congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Dolores is survived by her spouse, David E. Barber Jr.; mother, Ernestine Salazar; sister, Mary Alice Arredondo; brothers, Alexander Salazar and sister-in-law Sonia Salazar and Albert Arredondo.
Dolores was preceded in death by her father, Mario Salazar and father-in-law David E. Barber Sr..
Serving as pallbearers are Albert Arredondo, Alexander Salazar, Richard Salazar, Anthony Pena, Alfred Lopez, David Luna and John Martinez.
