Dolores Lena Garcia, born June 5, 1944 to Louis and Margarita Gandara in Houston, Texas, passed away January 5, 2012 in Houston. Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter, Gabriela Gonzales, and sister, Isabel Franco. She is survived by daughters, Lisa R. Gonzales and husband, John, and Lori G. Diaz and husband, Clint; grandchildren, Alexandria and Daniela Gonzales, Christopher Lopez, and Moses, Nathan, and Maggie Garcia; sister, Beatriz Fernandez; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 10, 2012 in the Chapel of Heights Funeral Home, where a vigil service will begin at 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2012 in the Chapel of Heights Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, Houston, Texas.
