

After graduating High School at SBH (Spring Branch High) he was drafted to Vietnam where he spent the next 3 years serving his country. Upon discharge he resided in Houston to start a family. He has three surviving children Donna Middleton and husband Mike, Dusty Rhode, and Tiffany Wiseman and husband Ed and five grandchildren.
Don achieved the highest honor of Eagle Scout. He was involved with little league baseball and had a love of all sports. To include his all time favorite World Champions Houston Astros!
Don and his wife Janie created and participated in many shuffleboard leagues throughout Houston, where many friendships and life long friends were made. He participated in the VFW Post 8790 and was a lifetime active member. He was always a giver and cared about others well being. He brought many joyful memories to all of his friends and family. He will be missed and remembered always.
Don is also survived by his current wife Janie Morgan and her three children Dana Bruns, Stephen Bruns and Judy Snell.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate this wonderful man's life during a visitation from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at Waltrip Funeral Directors, 1415 Campbell Road, Houston, 77055. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. Inurnment will be held at a later date and time at National Veterans Cemetery in Houston Texas. Please check back as Inurnment information will be posted as it becomes available.
