Don Smith, loving husband of Judy and father of Trevor and Chris, passed away peacefully at his home on Spruce Street in Bellaire on October 16.
Don grew up Bryan, TX and was a ring-wearing Texas A&M alum. He moved to Houston to work for Republic Bank, where he met his wife, Judy. Later, Don worked for General Electric, and Kinghorn Driver Hough and Co (VP). in Houston. Don’s primary hobby was golf and was a member of Champion’s Gold Club in north Houston. Don and Judy are members of Crosspoint Church in Bellaire.
Don was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in October 2015. He was blessed to have many supportive friends and family members, who each remarked how strong and courageous he was- in good health, and most notably during his battle against cancer.
The immediate family members of Don admire him most for being such a supportive husband and father. He gave all of his heart and energy to his family. A Memorial Service will be held Oct 21 2016 at 11am at Crosspoint Church 4601 Bellaire Blvd.
