It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, son, brother, cousin, and friend, Eduardo Javier Ramirez, who was also known as “Tank” and left us unexpectedly on the morning of November 3, 2024, at the age of 40 years old. He was born on May 13, 1984, in Houston, Texas. He was the first born to the parents of Javier and Leticia Ramirez.
He grew up in Houston and was known for his kindness, sense of humor, generosity, and dedication to his family. His love for life, his unwavering devotion to his family and friends, and his infectious laughter will be forever missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He leaves behind his cherished wife, Cynthia Garcia, with whom he shared 20 years of love and partnership. Together, they created a beautiful family, and Edward was incredibly proud of his three children: Alianna, Eduardo (Enzo), and Mateo. He was a father who always made time for his kids, no matter how busy his day was, and instilled in them a love for adventure and learning. His legacy will live on in them and all countless lives he touched with his warmth, wisdom, and strength.
Edward is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents (Carlos and Domitila Mendiola) and paternal grandparents (Refugio and Paula Ramirez). He leaves behind his parents Javier and Leticia Ramirez and four siblings: Issac (Ashley), Javier Jr. (Claudia), Lauren, and Jacob Ramirez. As well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and many friends who considered him a true companion and confidant.
In addition to his devotion to his family, Edward had a passion for helping others and had an incredible gift for making others laugh. His infectious sense of humor, combined with his genuine care for people, made him a friend to everyone he met. Whether with family, friends, or strangers, he always knew how to bring a smile to their faces and lift their spirits. His presence was one that brought comfort and joy to all around him.
Though we will miss him beyond words, we take comfort in knowing that his love, his laughter, and his legacy will live on in our hearts and in the lives he touched. A part of him will live on with us forever and always. We will continue to honor his memory by living with the same warmth, humor, and dedication to family and friends that he showed us every day. He will forever be missed.
