Elaine Carolyn Brown

Elaine Carolyn Gnatt Brown, 97, of Magnolia, TX, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022. She is predeceased by her husband Luther Brown, Jr of Magnolia, TX, her parents John A and Sophie (Pustelnik) Gnatt and In-Laws Gregory and Marianna (Lis) Gnatt, and her grandparents Thomas and Victoria (Bartosiewicz) Pustelnik, her older sister Lolita V. Gnatt, all of Chicago, IL and her grandson Jason T. Brown of Spring, TX.

Elaine was a charter member of St. Matthias Catholic Church, Magnolia, TX where she was an active member and volunteered in many church organizations (until of greater age). She assisted in such positions as secretary of Youth Group, secretary of CCE (Continuing Catholic Education) and actively volunteering on the Bingo Committee and Bazaar Committee for many, many years.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her four sons and spouses: Richard L and Karen D Brown of Gatesville, TX, Howard J and Paula J Brown of Spring TX, Michael V and Lora L Brown of Magnolia, TX, and Robert A Brown and Juan E Torrez of Elgin, TX; Grandchildren: Matthew J and Bethany Brown of King George, VA, David L and Taylor C Brown of Gatesville, TX, Andrew N Brown of Spring, TX, Richard M Brown and fiancée Hannah E Torres of Gatesville, TX, Kevin M Brown, Caleb T Brown and Nicole M Brown of Magnolia, TX, Eyrk Brown-Torrez of Elgin, TX ; Step grandchildren: Keith Dujay of Spring, TX and Kenneth R and Letty Dujay of Spring TX; Great grandchildren: William P Brown and Charlotte A Brown of King George, VA, David A M and Charles L P Brown of Gatesville, TX, Olivia M Brown, Abigail G Brown and Texas J Brown of Spring, TX and Step great grandchildren: Brandon J Dujay and Tyler Dujay of Spring, TX, Hannah S Waldschmidt, Sarah R Dujay and Josiah J Dujay of Spring, TX. Elaine was blessed over her lifetime with many good friends and family members.

Visitation will be held at Earthman Funeral Home, 13102 North FWY, Houston, TX 77060 on Thursday, December 15, 2022, from 4PM – 7PM with a rosary held at 6PM. A funeral Mass will be held Friday, December 16, 2022, at noon at St. Matthias Catholic Church, Magnolia, TX. Burial will be at 2:30PM at Resthaven Cemetery, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060.
