Elisa Ramos, born February 28, 1926 to Santiago and Maria de Hoyos in McAllen, Texas, passed away September 14, 2010 in Houston. Mrs. Ramos is preceded in death by sons, Manuel Ramos, Jr. and Ernest Lee Ramos. She is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Manuel Ramos; children, Hope Jo Spence and husband, Robert, Mary Garcia, John Ramos and wife, Marilyn, Mary Flicker, Roy Ramos, Emily Ramos and husband, Elbert McKinlay, and Jim Ramos and wife, Gina, and by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 16, 2010 in the Chapel of Heights Funeral Home, where a vigil service and rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 17, 2010 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4419 North Main Street, Houston, Texas 77009. Interment will follow in Historic Hollywood Cemetery.
