Elizabeth R. Negrete

Elizabeth is survived and deeply missed by her husband of 43 years, Jorge Negrete; her eight children: Martin Gutierrez, Margaret Torres, Veronica Soria, Maria Negrete, Jorge Negrete, Daniel Negrete, Marcelino Negrete, and Elizabeth Negrete; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; six nephews; two nieces; and two sisters, Nereida Banda and Sylvia R. Balderas.

Elizabeth worked for many years as a newspaper carrier for the Houston Chronicle. She loved purses, lottery tickets, playing jokes, and watching the Game Show Network. She especially enjoyed spending time with her sisters, children, nephews, nieces, and grandchildren. She brought joy and laughter to everyone around her. She will truly be missed and remembered in our hearts forever.

A visitation will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. for family and 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for the public on April 21, 2025, at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home and Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, Texas 77023. A funeral service will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on April 22, 2025, with committal services to follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
