

Elsie DeMarjorie Randle, a beloved member of her family and community, passed away on December 3, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and cherished memories. She was born on January 9, 1934, to Frank Randle Sr. and Rosielee Randle.
Elsie was preceded in death by her sisters Mae Weatherspoon and Willie Dell Strickland, and her brothers Frank Randle Jr. and Lloyd Randle. She is survived by her sisters Barbara Hogan and Patricia Bucner, her son Mark Randle, her grandson Cadin Cole, and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family who will continue to carry her memory forward.
A woman of deep faith, Elsie was a devoted member of Lakewood Church for over 60 years, beginning in the days of the late John Osteen and continuing under Pastor Joel Osteen. Her devotion to God was unwavering, and she often reminded loved ones with her favorite saying: “Don’t give up on God because God will not give up on you.”
Elsie’s life was also marked by academic excellence and professional dedication. She graduated as Valedictorian of Pickard High School in 1950, then attended college in Portland, Oregon on a full scholarship. She later continued her studies at Texas Southern University and went on to work at Baylor College of Medicine, where she contributed her talents to the medical community.
Her passions brought joy to her life and those around her. Elsie loved cooking, traveling, and watching musicals such as The Sound of Music. She began each day by reading the Bible, and she also enjoyed newspapers and entertainment magazines. A devoted sports fan, she cheered faithfully for the Houston Texans and Dallas Cowboys in football, the Houston Astros in baseball, and the Houston Rockets in basketball.
Her warmth, faith, accomplishments, and love for family and community will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her. Her life was a testament to devotion, resilience, and the power of faith.
