I learned this week that Estela, my father's cousin (Isidro S. Fuentes)had passed away.  My condolences to her daughters, Alice, Lina and Esmeralda.  I remember as a young girl spending time visiting and being in her kitchen learning to make potato salad and barbeque sauce.  These recipies I still use today.  May she rest in Peace. God Bless and comfort her family.

I grew up watching Aunt Bee (Andy Griffith show) and soon realized my aunt Estella was our version of Aunt Bee.  She always had good advice, always cared about us and our well being, and always made us feel right at home throughout our childhood lives....  and then again as adults.  She will always hold that special place in my heart, as she will for many others.

Estela is my aunt. She gave me more love, laughter and lessons than I could ever hope to repay. There are many things I see and hear in everyday life that are strictly "Estela" reminders for me. Thank you Lord for blessing me with her!
