I was one of Miss Pizzo's students at LHS. She was a bright, good, decent and humble person and a delight to be around. Even now I can imagine her with a big smile. She sincerely loved her students and we loved her.   
   Miss Pizzo was a gift on loan from God and did much in His Kingdom. He has called her home to the splendors of Heaven. "Well done, good and faithful servant."

Our heartfelt sympathy in the loss of your sister, Dorothy.  We know how much you cared for her.

Miss Pizzo was one of my favorite teachers at LHS.  I took Typing, Shorthand, and Bookkeeping from her.  I hated Shorthand and she was lenient with us there, but, oh my goodness, not in typing class.  Perfection was the standard rule.  I loved every minute and was a whiz. She taught me how to do income taxes and that lifeskill has saved me a lot of money. She was a great teacher and when her little feet were scurrying down the hall, you better get busy!  I always wanted to see her again after high school.  I'll see you again Miss Pizzo in heaven someday.

I had the privilege of riding in a car pool with Ms. Pizzo and her nephew, Gary, as well as almost failing her typing class.  In regards to her typing class, she demanded excellence, yet gave a much-needed degree of mercy if she saw you were genuinely trying to get it right.  For that and her great wit...I will always be thankful.  She is in Heaven with her true love, Jesus.  Ms. Pizzo, thank you for your service to the Kingdom of God.  And, as you may be able to see, I've finally gotten to the point of typing 60 - 70 WPM few errors that are auto-corrected!

Rest in Peace Ms Pizzo. I remember you well in our typing class at LHS. You had a heart of Gold. Prayers for your family

It was my privilege to serve on the faculty of Lutheran High school with Ethel during my first four years in teaching. She was a good friend and colleague, and shared her experiences with me. She would be pleased to know I did eventually take her advice and quit smoking, as her concern for me was genuine. May God be with her family as they recall her long life, her many kindnesses, and her love for family.

Ms. pizza was my typing teacher also,I remember her fast little feet coming down the hall,and her great big smile.  Thank you Ms. Pizzo for all you taught and helped in so many ways.

Ms. Pizzo was my typing teacher at LHS.  She had a heart for the poor and always asked us for can goods.  She also taught me the art of ceramics that I have to this day.  May she rest in peace!  We love you Ms. Pizzo!

Aunt Ethel will be missed but I take comfort in knowing that she is whole again and resting peacefully in Heaven.

Aunt Ethel was always there for me.  I remember her taking me to and from school, making me clothes, hosting numerous birthday parties, sharing her vacations, baking my wedding cake, inviting me to live with her after high school.  She was a special lady that always made everyone she encountered feel special too.  A lot of my fondest childhood memories include Nanny.  I am sure she is now baking cakes with Aunt Ma once again.

Aunt Ethel did so much for all of her nieces and nephews.  Her house was always full, and she welcomed everyone.  We will miss Nanny, but we know she is in a better place which has been prepared for her by her Father in heaven.  God bless Dorothy, her sister, (my mother) for never forgetting Aunt Ethel and always visiting and caring for her until the end.
