My hat goes out to the cops that served my family and I, as well as Carl Barnes Funeral Home. Good customer service mean a lot to me, when you are at your lowest point in life...

Always, if they didnt mind hearing the truth Mrs. Evelyn Jean Silas-Walker instilled and nurtured in them. My grandmother did her Godly duties with the fear of the Lord to the best of her abilities...With strength from the 
Lord!!
Meme lead by an example being a good wife, excellent mother, fantastic grandmother, and she had a marvelous servant heart here on earth at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, and she will continue to serve in heaven with her family and friends.
Knowledge for any situation that we had to face as a family member, she was the glue for her love ones!!
Everyone knew my grandmother...Meme left an excellent legacy behind!
Rise up and rejoice, take up your own bed in the Lord for Meme is not dead, but my grandmother is still alive to do work for the kingdom! This is a joyous Celebration!!

Tomorrow is your first heavenly birthday on 08-13-2019. Today, I cried some more tears, but most importantly to my family and I, we know that you are watching over us. (Psalm 91) 

Last month in July I said, well I want to write something to Meme daily, because I knew the time was getting shorter for me to write in the guestbook. 

This is the hardest time of my life having to express my love to you this way on your special blessed birthday...

Mom, my heart is so heavy right now and I hesitated to write because the tears havent stopped flowing but I know Ill be alright. I miss you more and more each passing day but what gives me comfort is knowing youre not laying there suffering anymore and that youre reunited with all your friends and loved ones. I miss your voice, I miss your face but I know one day well meet again and everything will be okay. Love you, ( hugs and kisses).

It seems like yesterday that you were here with us and we still cant seen to get past all
Of this  , we know that you are in a better place no more suffering so rest easy MiMi you are certainly missed .

May the bereaved family be comforted by looking forward to Jesus' promise recorded at John 6:40.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

My sincere condolences go out to you and your family. May God continue to lift you up during this trying time.

My deepest condolences go out to the Walker family. Mrs. Evelyn gave me a lifelong gift, and that is a nickname, Memsy.-yep, she came up with it. I will always remember her tell it like it is attitude, for she would always be honest with everyone. Growing up next door with such wonderful family oriented neighbors like the Walkers felt like having a second family, and Mrs. Evelyn was definitely always willing to help out in any way she could. She will be missed.
