Felipe Lopez

Phillip "Phil" Lopez of Houston, Texas was called to heaven on June 25, 2017, at the age of 58. He was born on March 27, 1959. He leaves behind his loving wife, Eleanor of 36 years; daughter, Jessica Lopez; son, Jason Lopez and wife Celestina; grandsons, Jay Jay Lopez and Willie Lopez.

Phillip is preceded in death by his parents, Dan Medina and Susie Medina; sister, Juanita Luna and brother Jesse Medina.

He is survived by sister, Laly Hanks; brothers, Tony Lopez and Felix Medina; In-laws, Rebecca Garcia and Joe Avila and numerous family and friends. A handful of closest family called him Compadre or Comp.

Phillip's pride and joy was his family but especially his grandsons. The boys were his world. They kept him on his toes and knew exactly how to get him to the toy department and McDonald's.

He was a generous man and would help whoever was in need. He served many years in the Knights of Columbus at Our Lady of St. John. He worked many hard years running the family business, Four Seasons Shoe Repair Shop and then later followed his dad to becoming an A/C installer. He was known around the neighborhood as "The A/C Man" and then in recent years "The Moonwalk Man".

He always welcomed everyone into his home and wanted to make sure you felt at home.
