My condolences to the Fraga family. I grew up in the Clayton homes. We met Felix there. He would come to our home and speak to my parents. He was a great leader for the Hispanic community. I remember when he worked at Ripley house too.  We met his wife too. He helped us in any way he could . Even after we moved from Clayton Homes, my mom  would see him at Ripley House. When we had the Clayton Homes reunion he would come too.  May you rest in peace .

Sra. Nelly Fraga: Mi más sentido pésame a usted y a toda su familia. 
Our family was fortunate to meet Mr. Fraga when he started the senior program at Ripley House. My mother was a bus driver and he asked for help transporting the seniors to Ripley House. My siblings and I would spend the day playing games and eating lunch with the seniors. My mother volunteer at Ripley House for many years. One of my most memorable activities was meeting a Houston Police Officer for the first time and practicing Spanish conversation with HPD officers. It was at Ripley House where my family first heard about a college prep school for underserved youth of Houston named Chinquapin. Mr. Fraga was friends with Robert Moore the founder of Chinquapin. Mr. Fraga advocated for educational opportunities for our Mexican and Latino community. Thanks to Mr. Fraga Chinquapin recruited at Ripley House and I applied. He also served on the board and advisory of Chinquapin.  My family is forever grateful to Mr. Fraga for guiding us to Chinquapin.  My siblings and I (seven of us) graduated from Chinquapin. Mr. Fraga had a way of helping others that was genuine and heartfelt. I will miss seeing him working in his garden, shopping at Kroger, running into him while voting, at the Segundo Barrio Children’s Chorus concerts and everywhere he touched our community. Mr. Fraga will always be the champion of the East End. He is the greatest example in my lifetime of a true public servant and citizen. His spirit and rich legacy live on in the indelible way he enriched our lives and made us better people. Muchas gracias y que en paz descanse.

Dearest Nellie, Bolivar and Fraga family,
It is with deep condolences that we say good-bye to a legend, an icon and a most charismatic, kind servant leader not only to our community but to all of Houston diverse communities.  There are so many stories that we can share about Felix and Nellie and we will always hold them deep in our hearts.
For now, farewell dear Felix.  Thank you for all you have accomplished and for your tireless service to our community.  I am so proud to have known you and the whole Fraga family.  
May you rest in eternal peace knowing you always did your best and always there when we needed someone to turn to.

to the Felix Fraga Family, friends and love ones. Mr. Fraga was a legend in time. I knew him as a teen and later worked at the HCCS/Felix Fraga. He will definitely be missed and will be remembered.  May the good Lord provide you with comfort and blessings.
