On April 11, 1949, in Boston, MA, the late Floyd Sr. and Annie Lee Priester were blessed with their first son, Floyd Wilmer Priester, Jr. Floyd lived in Boston until 1978 and then moved to Houston, TX where he worked for the Houston Area Urban League, Aldine Independent School District, and Richard Milburn Academy.
Accomplishments:
Retired from the US Army Reserves with 35 years of service 2005.
Retired from the Aldine Independent School District with 28 years of service as Assistant Principle, Teacher, Coach (High School football, girls’ and boys’ basketball, boys’ soccer, girls and boys track, Special Olympics) and Program Director of Project Recovery 2005.
Retired from the National Football League, Canadian Football League, and the World Football League with 5 years of service.

Playing golf and working at the Star of Hope Men’s Shelter was Floyd’s passion before being confined to a wheelchair in 2015. He was also a history buff (Civil War) and often read 2-3 books at the same time. As a member of the Bella Vista Missionary Baptist Church, Houston, TX, he served for over 25 years. He loved the Lord and sowed his spiritual seeds as he walked with Him and did all he could to keep the Kingdom of God moving forward.
Reverend Priester was blessed to meet and marry, in Boston, the love of his life, Kubadean Johnson Priester on June 20, 1970. He loved and cherished her throughout their entire marriage of 52 years. God blessed them with two sons: Floyd, III and Justin Thomas, one daughter: Koryn Anne, two grandchildren: Marcus Terrell Collins and Morghan Elise Priester, one brother: Melvin Vincent Priester, Sr., a very special aunt, Flossie Neil, four sisters-in-law: Doris Dennis, Ellie Robinson, Irma Smith and Madie Hampton, three brothers-in-law: Jack Johnson, Preston Johnson, Jr., and Frank Hampton as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
