Frances Nelson

Alfie Frances Nelson was born November 20, 1946 in Cherokee County, City of Jacksonville Texas, and went to be with our Lord on November 30, 2025. Born to Gordon Wesley Saddler and Francis Louise Stidham, she was preceded in death by her father, mother, and brother Wesley Saddler, and survived by her sister Carolyn Saddler.

God blessed her with a wonderful husband Patrick Nelson and was loved by three children and their (spouses), Melissa Greenwood (Ronnie Rice), Angella Muschalek (Jeff Muschalek), and Darlene Brown (Houston Milstead). She was also loved by six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Frances worked for 25 years with Goodyear serving in various roles alongside her husband Patrick Nelson.

Frances enjoyed working in her yard, planting, and beautifying the home that she and Patrick enjoyed so much.

Frances was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, who displayed unconditional love to her family, and a wonderful, caring woman to everyone she knew. She lived her life by the great teachings of our Lord. She offered sound and sage advice to anyone who asked and wanted to listen and displayed the character of a Christian family woman with values that were an example and virtue for all of us to live our lives by.

Loved by so many and a friend to all she became acquainted with, we will miss you so very much but know that you are with our Lord and Savior in Heaven soaring high with wings well deserved and watching over us always. We look forward to the glorious day we will meet again our beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Friend.

Visitation will be on Monday, December the 8th from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the Forest Park Funeral Home on Lawndale Blvd in Houston, TX. The memorial service will be Tuesday, December the 9th at 10:00am, followed by burial services at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Crockett, Texas at 1:00pm.

Pall Bearers are nephews John Eric McClelland and Jesse Theis, grandsons Wade Bland and Marcus Means, sons-in-law Houston Milstead and Jeff Muschalek.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of our Frances to the Houston Food Bank or your Charity of choice.
