Gary was born on April 23, 1951 in Ft. Worth, Texas and passed away peacefully at home on April 19, 2025.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Earl and Maxine Sanders, his brother Larry, and his sisters Susan and Belinda. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Denise, daughter Tammy Tanner and husband John, son Jerry Sanders, granddaughters Terrie and Sydnie Tanner, Brother Douglas Sanders and wife Rosa, sister-in-law Carol Tunstall and husband Kent Sudman, brother-in-law Gary Tunstall and wife Tiffany Randolph, mother-in-law Sharon Tunstall Travis, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Gary had a successful career in the produce industry working in both retail and wholesale. He was well respected, trustworthy, and knowledgeable, mentoring many co-workers along the way beginning with his brother, Doug.
Special thanks to Dr. Kuten, Dr. Peerbhai, Dr. de la Guardia, Dr. Razavi, Pastor Alicia Padron, Isabel Rivera, and all the nurses and staff that took care of Gary at St. Luke’s Hospital.
Gary loved his family most of all. He will be greatly missed, and will be forever in our hearts.
Visitation will be held 4:00-7:00 PM Saturday, May 3rd at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home.
The Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held Sunday, May 4th at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Earthman Resthaven with Pastor Alicia Padron officiating. Interment will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
