Gerry Lynne Upchurch

Gerry Lynne Upchurch, age 69, passed away on October 10, 2017. Born in Houston, she was a graduate of Furr High School and received her bachelor of science from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX. Lynne was an active member of The Daughters of the Republic of Texas; the William Barrett Travis chapter of Austin. An educator, Lynne taught at multiple schools across Texas for more than twenty years. In addition to teaching, she worked and retired from Continental Airlines. She was an avid traveler, music lover and enjoyed researching genealogy, making jewelry, acting in films, and playing her piano. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, who was happiest around family and was the most patient woman you would ever meet. Preceded in death by her parents Steve and Anna Margaret Conroy, and her sister Sue Conroy. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Travis J Upchurch, Jr; daughter, Tina Robinson and her husband, Kenneth of College Station; son, Travis Upchurch and his wife, Debbie of Kyle; daughter, Tara Jean Upchurch and her husband, Shawn of Austin; grandchildren, Taylor and Kade Robinson, Lydia Upchurch; brothers, Steve Conroy and his wife, Connie of Atascocita, Albert Conroy and his wife, Susan of The Woodlands.
