Dad it's been 4 years that you left us it seems like just yesterday. I miss those days when I go to your house here in Houston to see you and at times we would sometimes get into fights because your were being hard headed and not listening to me I was just trying to take care of you.  We all had you for those 101 wonderful years and memories that we will never forget. I know mom was happy to see you the love of you life.  Sure do miss you and mom and Rick love you always till we all meet again.

Hello.  I met Mr. Ontiveros years ago when he lived here in Bryan.  I worked at First American Bank and it was always such a pleasure visiting with him...I even met the Love of his life.

Man where to even begin Great Grandpa,. From whenever I was old enough to remember things you were already an old guy, yet, you still had so much energy in you. I'll always remember you started the day bright and early before anyone was awake and sometimes when people were just barely going to sleep. I would sometimes wake up early and catch you going to your garden and when I'd wake up even later great grandma would already be starting breakfast and you would be in your chair watching TV, already done with working around the house.

I'll always remember the times I spent at your house, with all the family there sleeping in the extra room, on the living room floor and the dining room floor. As funny and crazy as that was, it was always a great time being surrounded by so much family, so much happiness and love. It was always something I looked forward to doing because I knew it meant I would eat grandma's pancakes, watch you work in your garden and be with family. 

I love you great grandpa and I love all of my family, I'm so very thankful to have been apart of the Ontiveros family and to have been your great grandson. 4 generations of Ontiveros is just so crazy to think about , I can't put into words just how grateful I am to have been apart of it and be your great grandson.  I'm happy you get to be with great grandma again I love y'all, miss you and can't wait to tell my son/grandson about the amazing family I've had so far.

My Dear Tio , First I want to thank you for all your love. My memory is of all the fun summer vacation with you and Tia and my cousins. As growing up I couldn't wait til school was out so I could spend it with you'll. You were always there waiting for me at the bus station. You were one loving uncle. Thank for being there for us after daddy passed away. Losing you felt like I lost my daddy ( your only brother) again. I tried to be there for you and Tia as much as i could. I'm going to miss all my trips to go visit you even if it was for a short time i just had to go see how you were. I love you Tio and thank you so much for everything. So father-in-law when I first met you you said what's your name I said Debbie Carrillo you asked me who I knew I said do you know my sister-in-law Ruth she's married to my brother  Isidrio and my sister Nora is married and to your family to she's married to manual ontiveros your brother's son I laugh because your face changed you said no way I said yes sir my sister and my brother are both married into this family and now you have me you're stuck you laughed and said welcome and Mom your wife set life is short look at this I'm still here. Thank you for always treating me right for always allowing me in your home for making me know or understand how family is loved mom and you showed me a lot of love and I appreciate that y'all took me in not asking one single question about me thank you for the love of the understanding for y'all always being there for Rudy and I and my family I appreciate everything and remember so much for the times we went to Piedras negras ,Laredo, Cameron and all the other places that y'all came to pick up Rudy and I to go with y'all it was so much fun the drive there and the drive back the laughs we had thanks father-in-law you were the best mother-in-law I'm so glad you have him now he was so ready to be with you to my mother-in-law Lupe thanks for letting us have him this long I hope you both are together now thank you for the great man that you left me Rudy is a blessing to me thank you so much.

First memory is of visiting him and his family in Houston.  Big loving family.  He always has reminded me of my dad. 
One day he was sitting in the snack bar at Walmart that was located in the Manor East Mall.  My daughter Erin who was just a toddler at the time went over to him and sat right next to and started taking to him.  Well he did I not know this little girl and smiled at her.  I finally caught up to her and explained to him she thinks he was her Popo, my dad Armando Macias.  After a few minutes my parents walk through the front entrance and Erin sees my dad. She then looks up at “Tio Beto” which is what we called him, and gives him a look that said who are you and why are you talking to me! It was so funny we all laughed so hard ❤️ 🙏🏼

I am so Thankful to have been a part of your life and truly admire your dedication to your family and to our country. 

Thank you for your service to keep us safe. 
You are gone from our sight but never from our hearts.

Grandpa I will always remember whenever I would go visit you with my parents you would always say, “you are so big!”. I’m forever thankful for the 21 years I got with you! The way you love grandma & raised an amazing family is something I will always admire & cherish. I will miss your beautiful smile.. but it brings me so much joy knowing that same beautiful smile is radiating in heaven as you are reunited with your love, Grandma Lupe. I know I will always see your beautiful smile whenever the family gathers together, because being surrounded by loved ones is what brought you so much joy! 101 beautiful years here on earth! Until we meet again, I love you forever grandpa. 

My grandfather has always been an inspiration to me. Raising a large family, you accomplished so much,  the way we were all brought up around each other makes me a very lucky person. My mom always knew you would be there for her as well as grandma. You will be greatly missed. Until we meet again. Love you very much. ~Porky

Grandpa I will always cherish every memory I have had with you from the story my mom told me when I was a baby and you would come over early in the morning and wake up my mom and come to the window and say youuuuhoo!! And I would jump up from my crib with joy for you to come get me 😊 or when every time I came to the house in Bryan I would love to sit in your chair and smell it because it smelled just like you and that one week of spring break right after grandma died I spent with you to keep you company and you would wake me up at 5 am to go eat breakfast when all I wanted to do was sleep lol... I will miss you dearly I know you and grandma are together I love both of you very much RIP..

The first time I met you and Lupe I was only 16 and. I was so afraid that I held on to Johnny so tight bc I didn't want him to leave my side. Right away you started asking me who were my parents and who were my grandparents and ofcourse you knew them all. You were excited when you learned who my grandfather was bc yall grew up together. You said I know him! That's my friend! 
Gilbert, I just want to thank you and Lupe for raising a good man in Johnny. He is all a husband should be and more and I see so much of you both in him. Hard working like you and so caring like Lupe. He was blessed to have you as parents and I am blessed to have him as my husband! I love you, may you rest in peace and dance with Lupe in eternity.
