Guy Ellis Milkovisch, 71, passed away peacefully Sunday, August 12, 2018. Born in Houston, Texas on December 20, 1946, Guy grew up in the Rice Military area and graduated from Reagan High School in 1966. Guy proudly served his country in the US Army from 1966-1969, which included a tour in the Vietnam War. He was awarded a Bronze Star for his service in combat. After serving, Guy worked in the oilfield mfg. business for nearly 40 years before retiring in 2006.
At 5 years old, Guy met his future wife, Jackie Diane Milkovisch in primary school and they later married in 1971. Guy is survived by his devoted wife Jackie, loving son Randy, daughter-in-law Jill, grandchildren Ava, Macy and Mary, brother Ronald Milkovisch and wife Brenda, sister Marcia Carter, multiple nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his Father, John Martin Milkovisch and Mother, Mary Idis Milkovisch.
Affectionately known as “Pop”, Guy devoted his free time to his family and friends and never missed an opportunity to be of service to others. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, playing with his grand-daughters and golf cart rides on the beach. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him. A memorial service will be held at Heights Funeral Home, 1317 Heights Blvd. on Saturday, August 18th at 3:00pm. Reception to follow.
