

Harvey Emil Hartman Sr, eighty-six (86) of Kingwood, Texas passed away on the morning of August 11, 2025. He was born in Houston, Texas on December 31, 1938, to Lee R and Alice J Hartman, where he grew up on the north side of Houston.. Harvey graduated from Klein High School in 1957. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served as a firefighter for four years. After completing service to his country in 1962, he joined the Houston Fire Department. He went on to rise through the ranks to Senior Captain and worked for twenty-five years before retiring in 1987. In his off time, he enjoyed taking his family fishing, camping, and traveling.
In 1962, he discovered the love of his life, Linda A. Kasperlain, whom he had known since childhood. Soon after, they joined together in Holy Matrimony on May 31, 1963. Harvey and Linda made a home in Aldine, Texas and remained devoted to one another for 61 years. Together, they raised three sons-Harvey Jr., Victor, and Jeffery Sr. He had an affection for animals, notably their dogs: Barney, Abigale, and Annabella.
Harvey E Hartman Sr Is preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Linda A. Hartman, His brothers Lee, Louis, Frankie, and Benny and his sister Joyce and Mary. Harvey is survived by his sister Patricia, children and their spouses, Harvey E. Hartman Jr. and Joy Michelle Hernandez-Hartman, Victor A. and Karla A. Hartman, Jeffery W. Hartman Sr., and Holly F. Brown. His grand children and their spouses Harvey E. “Tre” Hartman III, Clarissa A. and Chris Butsch, Andrew and Melanie Hartman, Jeffery W. Jr. and Kendra Hartman, Anthony “Blake” and Mariah Hartman, Austin and Donnyel D. Hartman, Logan “Taylor” and Rebecca Hartman, Nicholas Hartman, Ashleigh Hartman, Sommer L. and Dylan Rogers. Harvey was a proud great grandfather of twenty-eight (28) great grandchildren. Harvey had many nieces and nephews that he loved so much.
Harvey’s legacy is one of unwavering devotion—to his family, his faith, and his community. His gentle wisdom and steady hands guided not only his loved ones but also countless friends and neighbors who turned to him for advice or a kind word.
To those who knew him, Harvey embodied integrity, humility, and generosity. He will be dearly missed but cherished always. The memories he created and the values he instilled will remain a guiding light to all whose lives he touched.
