
Our beautiful Helen Cecile (Cele) Eaton went to be with our Heavenly Father on December 18, 2022. Helen was born to Paul and Evelyn Hayes in Goose Creek, Texas on August 18, 1937. Helen attended and graduated from Snyder High School in 1956. She married Thomas Jeryl Eaton on March 17, 1958 and divorced in 1981.
Helen was a daughter, mother, wife, and grandmother. Her children are Laura Neff, Shawnea’Jackson, and infant baby boy. Helen has four grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. In addition to raising her daughters, Helen worked most of her life and had many occupations. This includes an airline flight attendant, switchboard operator, children’s library assistant, assistant retail manager, secretary, realtor, and sales woman. Helen loved life, her family and her friends. She was a devoted mother. She was joyous, generous, humorous, a storyteller, and her sparkling eyes and smile always lit up the room. Helen always said
her best subject was ‘play’. She used her imagination to bring play, light and love to every situation. She was loved by everyone and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
Helen was given many opportunities to travel in her life including Abqaiq, Saudi Arabia, where she lived for a time, and Mexico. Helen loved adventure and learning about all cultures and people. She spent the last year of her life playing with her dog, exploring, learning about indigenous people of Mexico, and studying the Bible.
She is survived by daughters, Laura Neff, Shawnea’ Jackson; grandchildren, Kaytlyn Munoz, Baylee Neff, Hayden Jackson, Elyse Jackson; great-grand daughter, Harper Grace Munoz.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on January 6, 2023 at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston, Texas. Please come and celebrate her amazing life.
