She is survived by her only child Julie Espinoza and son in law Israel Moreno, sister Marie Martinez and husband Ray Martinez, niece Elyssa (Peaches) Martinez, nephews Justin Martinez and his wife Kayla Martinez, Gary Howard, Ryan Cantu, her Godson Eric Chacon and her grand-dog Mousie.
She was preceded in death by her parents OB and Tomasa Espinoza, niece Jessica Espinoza Howard and grand-dog Miklo. She leaves behind two Aunts, an Uncle and numerous cousins.
Helen loved crafting, cooking, baking, traveling, her morning coffee and gardening. She enjoyed ghost hunting, scary movies, UFO’s, and especially Bigfoot. She loved everything Sasquatch. Helen enjoyed all kinds of music, from heavy metal to Tejano music. She was also a very good dancer.
Helen volunteered with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, she was a member of Rodeo Express on Team D (Bus Ops) and EMLR Early Birds. Helen worked for the University of Houston for over 25 years at TcSUH (Texas Center for Superconductivity at UH) retiring in 2018.
Helen was the type of person who never met a stranger. She was always willing and ready to help anyone and never asked for anything in return. She was very nurturing, she took care of everyone. Her home was always welcoming, it was the place everyone wanted to be. Helen enjoyed her retirement, she was able to travel to Europe and to various places in the U. S. She liked to gamble and enjoyed trips to the casinos. She enjoyed binge watching her shows, one being NCIS (Gibbs was her favorite) the other was Yellowstone (Rip was her man).
Helen will be missed by her family and her friends who became family (you know who you are).
