

Helen was born March 23, 1937, in Houston, Texas, to Matthew Alton Toole Sr. and Helen Elizabeth Rhodes Toole. She grew up in Houston, where she built a life centered on love, hard work, and family.
On January 11, 1958, Helen married the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Lewis Reddy Jr. Together they shared a devoted marriage filled with companionship, laughter, and unwavering love. Helen and Bob worked side-by-side at their construction company for many years.
Helen was a lifelong Rainbow Girl and belonged to Eastern Star. Bob was a Mason and a Shriner and Helen helped where she could in those events.
Bob was a private pilot and when they weren’t working or helping out, Helen and Bob, could be found flying, on one of the several planes they had throughout their lives, to new places, even to go shoe shopping in NY.
After Bob passed on March 2, 2001, Helen continued run their business for several more years before retiring to Galveston, Texas. When in Galveston, Helen became involved with the Galveston Humane Society and the Galveston Country Club.
Helen was full of life and embraced every day to the fullest. She loved spending time with family and has a remarkable gift for connecting with people everywhere she went. Helen continued making new friendships throughout her life with people both young and old. Her warmth, humor, sarcasm, generosity, and vibrant personality drew others to her naturally. To her family she was truly a real-life “Auntie Mame”, bringing joy, adventure, wisdom, and unforgettable memories to those she loved.
Helen is survived by her nephew, Michael, his wife, Diane, and their children; her nephew, Matthew, and his wife, Tammy, along with their children and grandchildren; and by the many friends whose lives she touched over the years.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert “Bob” Lewis Reddy Jr., her brother, Matthew Alton Toole Jr., and her parents, Matthew Alton Toole Sr. and Helen Elizabeth Rhodes Toole.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 22, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Colonial Chapel, followed by an 11:00 a.m. funeral service. Committal will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
Helen’s family finds comfort in knowing that her spirited nature, kindness, and love for others will live on her the hearts of all who knew her. May her memory be a blessing to all that knew and loved her.
