Fred was a devoted and loving husband to his wife, Anna of 65 years, caring father, and proud grandfather. Fred loved adventures and traveling to foreign countries with his wife, family gatherings at Caney Creek, and working in his always beautiful yard. He was a talented athlete playing college basketball at Abilene Christian College and “shooting his age” in golf, a proud veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War, and a dedicated Farmers Insurance agent serving his customers for more than 50 years. He was a dedicated servant to the Lord, elder in the church, bible school teacher, and an active church member in the congregations at Wayside and Sherman Church of Christ, Southeast Church of Christ, and most recently at Watters Road Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna in 2019, his infant daughter, Teresa Lynn in 1960, sister, Alice Jean in 1965, and brothers, Charles in 2014 and Clarence in 2022. He is survived by daughter, Debe, son, Michael, daughter-in-law, Linda, and granddaughter, Maya.
Visitation will be welcomed Friday, January 26, from 5-8 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Funeral services to celebrate Fred’s life will be held Saturday, January 27, at 11 AM at Southeast Church of Christ, 2400 W. Bay Area Blvd, Friendswood, TX.
