Jack Davis Hill was born on Tuesday, February 9, 1932 in Webb, Mississippi. He joined his loved ones in eternity on July 8, 2013, after a brief struggle with heart disease in Houston, Texas at the age of 81.
Jack was preceded by his son Danny Bruce Hill and his grandson Jobidiah James Hill. He leaves behind two sons, Roger Craig Hill, Kenneth Edward Hill and four grandchildren Jeremy Lee Hill, Jamie Lee Hill, Elizabeth McVey Hill, Andrew Hill and two great grandchildren Dylan Hill and Jayce Hill.
Jack enlisted in the United States Navy in 1950 and served on a Navy destroyer during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in 1954 as a Seaman-First-Class. Jack worked for Humble Oil and Refining Company until 1971 and then finished his career with Brown & Root, Inc. many years later.
At Jack’s request, his ashes were buried at Houston National Cemetery. There will not be a formal funeral service. Please honor the family's request of no flowers.
