Jim is survived by his wife, Kathy and son James, of Houston, TX, his brother, John of Austin, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Alma Stockton of Houston, TX, his son, John Scott Stockton, and his grandson, Michael Scott Stockton.
Jim was born on June 20th, 1952 in Houston, TX to Gilbert and Alma Stockton. He graduated from University of Houston with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He married his best friend Kathy in 1973. Jim began working for Sperry Sun and spent the rest of his career in the oil and gas industry.
Jim was an Eagle Scout and enjoyed the outdoors, particularly fishing. He was a licensed Private Pilot. Jim was a kind and generous man, who loved spending time with his friends and family. He was always eager to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, and his help was always accompanied by a smile. He will be missed by everyone who ever crossed his path.
