JANE DEMARET WATKINS passed away on January 11, 2011. She was born in Houston on June 14, 1917 and resided in the immediate area her entire life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn Watkins, and her five brothers and two of her sisters. She is survived by her five children, Susan, JoAnne, Jim, Ken, and Donna; her sister, Leona Hinson; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Jane and Will were charter members of Riverbend Country Club in Sugar Land, Texas. Blessed with a slow backswing and a quick wit, Jane would consistently contend for the club championship and took a thorough delight in traveling the state to play and compete. She brought home about thirty trophies and made countless friendships. A very special Thank You to Yolie Buot for the kind and loving care provided over the last six years.
The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 1pm at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home with interment following the service at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
