Alice Virginia Wilkes went to be with the Lord on May 12, 2010. She was born in Austin, Texas on March 10, 1925 to parents Roy and Eunice Fisher. Alice retired after 38 years of service, from the City of Houston Water Department. She was a loving mother and friend that will be deeply missed by all of those who knew and loved her. Alice was preceded in death by her husband, John Q. Wilkes, parents and five brothers. She is survived by her son, Eric Stephens and wife Judy and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, May 16, 2010 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, TX, 77060. A funeral service will be held Monday, May 17, 2010 at 12:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home followed by a burial in Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
