Jesse was a gifted furniture upholsterer; he worked as a contractor for many years and eventually had a small business. He grew up in Houston's 2nd Ward and one of his biggest passions was the game of fast pitch softball. He played with several teams in his days of playing ball. He was part of the original Los Compadres softball team that played at Settegast, Mason, Eastwood, Hermann and many other Houston parks. He played for as long as possible and then began coaching but his love of the game never ended. He was delighted that his sons and grandchildren shared in his passion of sports.
Services will be held on Tuesday, January 5th at Forest Park Lawndale - 6900 Lawndale St, Houston, TX 77023.
