Our prayers are with our beloved relatives and friends of Jimmie I. Hargrave, as she left this earth to a much better place at the age of 93. Her sincere giving to all expressed kindness and love daily, enjoying conversation and concern to others more than herself. Stories of past memories were shared with all, as great friends were very important to her life.
In memory of Jimmie's cherished husband, Darby provided and always placed her on top of the mountain, as we have today in following him. She loved her sons, Jim and Gerald, always sacrificing beyond her motherly call. April 6, 1919 was a blessed day in Marquez, Texas when Jimmie was born. Her love of music and children led her to become a band leader and school teacher. She wanted to help raise other children with education and humble honor. As a charter member of First Baptist Spring Branch Church, many Christians lived a life in perfection with her daily representation. We are grateful to her for sharing all with us throughout her many years of residing in Houston, Texas.
Jimmie is preceded in death by her husband, James Darby Hargrave and her son, James Hargrave, Jr. She is survived by her son Gerald Hargrave, grandchildren Kristen More and James (Trey) Hargrave III, their respective spouse, Ted More and Laura Hargrave and great grandchildren, Kherington and Britton.
