Joanne Ivers Campbell, age 87, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015. Born in Detroit, Michigan, she was a loving mother and grandmother, who loved travelling, reading, and her bridge group friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Roger Merlin Campbell, Sr.; sons, Roger Merlin Campbell, Jr. and Mark Christopher Campbell; and brother, Joe Ivers. Survived by daughter, Karen Campbell Tench and husband Ross; son, Stuart Campbell and wife Lynn; daughter-in-law, Joyce “Peanut” Campbell; grandchildren, Curtis Slater and wife Jessica, Roger Campbell, Cory Campbell, Reid Tench, and Elizabeth Tench; great granddaughter, Avery Slater; and soon to be great grandson, Joaquin Campbell; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 7810 Cypresswood Dr., Spring, Texas 77379, with the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Rite of Committal will follow at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veteran’s Memorial Parkway, Houston, Texas 77038.
