John Walter Matthews was born in Fort Davis, Texas on Wednesday, December 31, 1919 to parents, Walter Len and Flora Mae (Yeagar) Matthews. He passed away in Houston, Texas on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at the age of 93.
John was the owner of Matthews Heating and Air serving Spring Branch and the Houston area for many years. He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren several other family members, many dear friends and business associates.
The family will receive friends at a visitation on Thursday, November 7 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Waltrip Funeral Directors, 1415 Campbell Road in Houston, where funeral services will be held in the chapel on Saturday, November 9 at 2:00 p.m.
Graveside services and interment will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, November 11 at South Memorial Park Cemetery, 1310 N. Main St. in Pearland, Texas.
