

passed away peacefully on September 18, 2025, at the age of
78. Born on June 15, 1947, Josefa was a devoted wife, a gentle
spirit, and a hardworking individual who lived her life with patience,
love, and selflessness.
A longtime resident of Houston, Texas, Josefa was known for her
loyalty, kind-hearted nature, and the quiet strength she carried
through every chapter of her life. She received her education at
a Catholic School in Santiago, N.L., where she built the foundation
for a life centered on faith, dedication, and family.
On April 26, 1969, Josefa married the love of her life, Juan Madel
Rendón. Together they shared 56 years of marriage filled with
love, faith, and commitment. Their greatest joy came from raising
their three children and building a family rooted in unity and
unconditional love.
Josefa is survived by her beloved husband, Juan Madel Rendón;
her children, Juan Madel Rendón III, Jorge Alberto Rendón, and
Yadira Del Carmen Barrera; and her son-in-law, Roberto. She also
leaves behind her four treasured grandchildren, Yarezi Anahí
Barrera, Roberto Andrés Barrera, Juan Madel Rendón IV, and
Alex Daniel Rendón, who brought her immense pride and joy.
Josefa’s warmth extended far beyond her family. She was a
gifted cook and baker, often filling her home with delicious meals
and sweet treats made with love. She also enjoyed knitting and
found peace in the simple joys of creating and caring for others.
Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her—a legacy
of patience, kindness, and unconditional love. She will be deeply
missed but forever remembered with gratitude and affection.

A visitation will be held at Earthman Resthaven, located at 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060, on September 25, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The following day, a Celebration of Life will take place at the same venue from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Committal Service at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Josefa's gentle spirit and selfless devotion to her family and friends will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
