

On January 22, 1942, Joseph Clarence Blount, Jr. was born to Maizie D. Cook-Blount and Joseph Clarence Blount, Sr., whom preceded him in death. During his pilgrimage her with us, he attended and graduated from Carverdale High School. Joseph continued his education at Morehouse University in Atlanta, Georgia. He also served his country in the United States Army. Joseph is headed home to join his son, Joseph Clarence Blount, III; brothers: Elder Larry E. Blount and Ronald Henry; step-father: Amos Hartley; and sister: Joan Blount-Lewis, whom preceded him in death. In God's care his leave to cherish his memories a loving wife: Willie Jean Blount; six beautiful daughters: Cynthia Guillory- Whitfield, Tuesday Kemp (Sylvester), Constance Warren (Craig), JoAnn Whitfield (Alfonso), Jacqueline Blount and Dione Slaughter (Fred); two loving sons: Julian Blount, Sr. (April) and Wesley Blount; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; four sisters: Gloria Blount-Murray, Linda Taylor, Rosalind Blount- Raikes (Preston) and Yvonne Blount-Miles; five brothers: Bishop Lester E. Blount (Juanita), Delbert R. Blount, Douglas Blount (Lakitha), Alvin Glenn and Darryl Glenn (Patti); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and loving friends.
