I met Joseph when he was still in diapers but one of my funny memories with him is when he was just a little kid. He would come knocking to play video games with my brother. Sometimes it was too much and we'd try and hide from him lol. But we had those old school mail boxes in the Courts with the metal flap where you could open it & see inside. He'd open it to look through it to see if we were really not home bc we wouldn't answer the door lol! We'd treat him like one of the little brothers & sometimes he'd catch us hiding from him lol. Man that was so long ago and he was always such a sweet kid! Although we didn't keep in touch into the later years, he'll always be loved & remembered.

My Little Cousin Joseph Man, How you were taking too soon.. Joseph was a little boss baby, he was 4 years younger but would act older than me. He'd always demand me to take him to moody park, just about everyday! Everybody knew him as little joseph at moody he got a pass for everything so Whatever he wanted to do, he kould.. because he was little joseph! My baby cousin was not shy, he was very outgoing he kould always make you smile. Joseph loved coming over! He loved my dads carne guisada (haha) he was a little foodie joseph loved good food. Joseph loved being around people he loved and kan make the most out of anything! I kant explain the hurt i feel for my cousin but we know hes in the sky and hes in a better place! We're going to keep Joseph alive in our memories! We love you Joseph 

Joseph ohhhh Joseph where do i start..  
First off by saying how lucky i am to be apart of your life that was taken away way to soon i got to spend some really good years of my life with you so for everyone who doesn’t know i used to take care of all 3 of my little cousins when they were little and Joseph ooohhhh that lil boy gave me a run for my money when you were little i remember anytime you got in trouble all u had to do was bat those lashes at me or whoever fought for you that day and all that was out the door no one could ever stay mad long you always had a way of just smiling and making it all go away I’ll always remember when i would take care of you and i was being a little to bossy or just try and get you to do anything  you would run n say I’m telling my mom and i would yell back tell her i don’t care I’m not watching you no more you don’t t listen i would give anything to boss you around right now  and you run away from me scream and i chase you catch you and you laugh and there goes that smile and batting those lashes at me and there i go again..  I’ll always have those memories of you and remember those beautiful eyes oh yea and always wanting to show them muscles you just being silly all the time.. Joseph, what can I say or where do I start? We go way back, back too diapers. My mom and your Mom were great friends growing up and we both grew up in Irvington Village running around as little kids buying Cool Cups. We were born in the same year, just a few months apart. So we always went to the same school, but for some reason we were never in the same class. You would always hang with Rene, and come to apartment and have sleepers overs. I would always go to your house on Billingsley and spend the night with your Mom and she treated me as the daughter she never had. She would try to book our Orthodontist appointment on the same day, close to time so that way we can all go together and get our braces adjusted together. You would eat cereal and milk all the time because you said it would get you taller and I'm not sure If that worked, but you sure did get taller. You loved basketball, you would come home after school change clothes and head straight to Moody Park to play Basketball. It has been a while since we have seen each other as I moved out of Houston, but whenever I heard you had a baby I immediately thought she is going too be so beautiful and she definitely is! So even though we weren't "blood", that couldn't make us any closer. I'm sorry for what has happened, and I do pray that we find Justice because you did not deserve this at all. I just want to thank you for being apart of my childhood and my life, and I pray your Soul will Rest.

I didn't know Joseph but Gloria and I went to school together so I've known her for a long time and knew her son's Jon and Hector we lost touch an she had Joseph so I met him like 3 yrs ago I'm so sorry for the loss of my friend and know he is resting Ecles 9: 7 and I don't have words to express the pain his family is going through but for what I read about him he was a good son and too soon gone be strong Gloria love u

My brothers and I met Joseph in Irvington village when we were little kids along with his mom Gloria and his older brothers. We went to school with him up until High School. Joseph was always around, you never went a day without seeing him. We’d run around outside  playing till the sun went down.. I’d hang around his apt with his mom sometimes and Joseph would walk me back home most nights when it got too late then he’d run back home once I got inside. He was like a big brother to me when we weren’t arguing and fighting cause Joseph loved to joke around and talk his mess lol. He had the biggest heart and always cared about others since I’ve met him! I ran into Joseph twice after the quarantine and almost every weekend before the quarantine, we’d hang around the same crowd at the same clubs and he’d never forget to stop by and say hey or talk for a bit. You could easily spot him, was always smiling, shaking somebody’s hand and conversing everywhere he went because so many ppl knew him and if he didn’t know you he’d still come up and introduce himself because Joseph was just  respectful like that, he had that charismatic and bubbly personality everywhere he went! I came across this old photo from a shared video. I’m on the far right side along with Joseph and my 2 brothers, brought back so many good memories!

When I heard about Joseph it hit home. The time I knew him he was the kid who always talked crap but joking always calling me Slim Jim. The last time I seen him and Gloria he had this big smile happy. You can have a conversation with him like you known him for years. He was the kid who took up for his family especially his momma. He loved his family and basketball. I don’t understand how a beautiful soul is gone too early. I’am praying for peace and healing for all of you. God never gives up on the broken. Be strong in the Lord. 

I remember Joseph Olguin, very well. He was such a nice young man. I remember him very well, & his big brother as well, while we were growing up as kids.  It hurts my heart to know he was taking so soon. But I encourage the family and all who was so close to Joseph, to hange on there. Put our hands in the hands of the Lord.

Joseph, there are not enough words to express the feelings our family holds for you. Knowing you since you were a beautiful bundle of joy at birth had been only the beginning of a wonderful experience.  I can honestly say, you have been an inspiration too many in such a short period of time. You were taken far too soon. Some of the memories we hold dear are when you would come to our house and bring your toy game, watch cartoons, laugh and play.  I would be  happy to see your smiling face and get sweet hugs when you walked in with, David.  I smile when I think back to you saying, "David, let's go cruising and get  donuts"... Your Mom, Gloria, always had you dressed as if every day was Sunday.  Her love for her son's shown brightly through you and everything she did. Since then you have grown into a wonderful young man and Daddy. A sweet and kind individual full of love.

Joseph was a very respectable young man.  His parents used to be close to my brother and sister-in-law.   So my nephews pretty much grew up with the older brother and Joseph.   He would come and hang out at my house with my nephew Brandon.   I would give them rides to school ever so often.  Even when I seen him walking I would give him a ride after I had already dropped off my nephew Brandon.  Then he began to hang out with my other nephew and will come around my older brothers house a lot.   He would always talk to my little girl and try to get her attention.   Rest in paradise justice will be served.

My best memory from Joesph is when we all played basketball at woodlands park like 3 times a week! Showed us brotherhood and how too compete and love one another! Joseph , I remember the first day I met you. I was already pregnant with your nephew Messiah. We went to the water park , you & Matt had a blast . Then we walked all memorial city mall ate chipotle & a cinnamon roll. I dropped y’all off at the gym because y’all wanted to hoop and I had got y’all the free membership. Less then 20 mins I call y’all and say I’m in the hospital about to have the baby in an hour. You and Matthew rushed to be there. You stayed the whole week with me
And the baby . You carried and loved him with the golden heart you have. When me and Matt would fight you were our messenger and ended up
Always brings us back together . Me and you argued so much lmao but you was my bro when it came to hard times . I love and miss taking y’all to the basketball games or just chilling outside your house. We love and miss you Joseph !! ❤️🕊🏀

I was talking to his mom Gloria one day, Joseph had to be about 4 or 5. He walked passed us as we were talking, I told Gloria that boy walks just like you.... She laughed and said, that boy walks bad, he doesn't walk like me....  He  was such a cute little kid running and playing in the neighborhood. I'll never forget the sweet almost shy looking smile he had. Rest In Peace. ❤️🙏🏾

I remember walking to the park seeing Joseph playing ball & joking around as he played ball.. the day went on I would run into him being 9pm I would tell him "boy you still out here its late Joseph" as he walked in front of me walking down the same streets to get home..i will tell him be safe go straight home all he did was smile & laugh says im going home..

To my handsome cousin with the pretty eyes, You were a great man and a great father. You were such a good person and it shows the impact that you had on people with your good heart. I will never forget us play fighting  as kids and those punches in the stomach because I was taller than you lol! And being at grandma and grandpas house picking pecans off the floor from their pecan tree  and lining up waiting for grandpa to crack them so we can eat them.  Just being kids at grandma, grandpas and being all together for the holidays and playing outside all day are moments that I’ll forever cherish. We love you Jay and we will never forget you! 

We have so many good memories of Joseph he was very much a part of our little family. Even with his grown self he loved sleepovers because of all the fun stuff we did like movie nights, all nighters playing zombies road trips. My love for fine dining taking them with me was like a car with 3, 5-year-olds but when our waiter came they would all shape up an order like they had manors lol.  When he was in California with us for a week he had so much fun ate at some of the greatest places walks the stars of  Hollywood he got souvenirs for his mom and Aaliyah those two were his ladies all he talked about How much he love his mom and his 
daughter.  I came back to Texas in November for treatment and Joseph was right there with me hanging out with the kids in the waiting room always offering to drive us home there’s not a second that goes by that I’m not thinking of you.  So many future plans ready for his new life no matter what I always believed in his spirit and the success that he could bring himself,  his eyes would light up so big when we talked about his future it made him so happy the things he was planning along with my help and others that were there for him great friends, his #1 fan his mom to cheer him on. United we will have justice and all the plans we will carry out for the future belonging to Aaliyah and your mom it’s a promise.  We love you we miss you forever in our hearts Joe ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️     

i remember when i found out i lost my mom and brother he was there for me thru the whole thing , we literally always talked about how much we missed them , i miss our talks and he always gave me good advice but ik you’re up there with my mom and brother happy to see them and probably even driving my mom around like u always did 😭 i miss u sm

I remember balling with joseph in school every day same gym all day then after school we would walk home he would always say u down for a 20 minute game at moody, which was never only 20 minutes, we would stay there till they turned the lights off. This young man was extremely talented on and off the court he had nothing but love for everyone. He was the type of dude to give his shirt off his back if you needed it. He would hmu every year for my b day just to make sure I was good or If I was in the hood to hoop. He was such a great friend and even a better friend. I remember when him and Marcus used to run around the courts wit a basketball in his hands and I used to pick on him every chance I got bcuz of his big brother Hector. I used to take his ball and chase him home and Ms Gloria used to be like y u always messing with my son's and I'll be like bcuz he won't fight. then she would be like well u don't want ur ball then. I spoke to him for a long time when I came home and I didn't know I had that much of an impact on him. The love I have for this family is overstood.

I remember you as a little boy running around Ivp being a little boy with color eyes brown light hair  I watch you grown u and ur bothers  to become a young man father to ur daughter always In our hearts  prayers for ur mother and brothers.

I want to send my condolences to all that love Joseph ❤️.... I remember him being handsome and athletic... he was a really good basketball player.. growing up in IVP was a challenge in itself but his mother Gloria got her boys out and did her best like all mothers do...(I send you my love Gloria) he was a good kid with a lot to offer this world. Taken so brutally so young from us. I pray for his killers to be brought to justice soon. This has been devastating to our community. 

Thinking of all the times we would play in grandma & grandpa's backyard, and holidays we all spent together growing up. I'll never forget you! It's obvious you have touched so many lives for the good and had people that loved you! I’ll remember you always & forever my handsome cousin with colored eyes and golden brown hair! You will never be forgotten!

I have so many memories with Joseph it’s hard to choose just one.  From our drives to Galveston to watch the sunrise on the beach talking about our goals for the future.  To Louisiana for New Years or trips to Coushatta or the Golden Nugget. He was always ready to ride.  Every time I would say a joke he would laugh and then add to the joke more. We would go out when I lived with him back when the House on Washington was poppin on Tuesdays, or he would get us on a guest list for a club on the weekends.  I would get dressed and he would tell me “Bro if you don’t take that wrinkled shirt off so I can iron it.” He never just made sure he looked good he always made sure I did too if I was going be around him in public haha.  Going to the mall to wait in line for Jordan’s. Hitting every mall for tickets for Jordan’s if they had a raffle. Going to his basketball games because he told me I had to because I took good videos of him playing basketball haha. I made most of the games if I didn’t have work I was at the games with both my iPhones fully charged to record. From us being in my car Jammin all kinds of music from Rap, Hip Hop, Reggaton, R&B, Country and evening classic and 2000 Rock hits. Don’t  let me play anything in spanish unless I translate the lyrics to him first haha.  He was one of my biggest supports. He believed in me when I started school and he was proud of me when I graduated.  I reciprocated that same energy towards him. I always told him you can do anything bro you’re so smart and a good worker.  He would get so excited when I would take him to go see his daughter. Even when we went to the mall or any store he would say things like, “Aaliyah would love this.” Or, “I wanna buy clothes for Aaliyah can you stop at the store.” He always put her first never went a day without mentioning her.
