Janie was born in Houston, TX but grew up in West Texas. From childhood through her teenage years and beyond she was a hard worker. Her mother owned a boarder home and Janie assisted her mother to support her during that time. Additionally, she helped her mother pick cotton in fact she was proud of it and was not ashamed to roll up her sleeves while being proud of her family. Family was very important to her and at just 17 years of age Janie lost her mother where she then moved to Houston to continue working on her own. She was an adventurous woman who began traveling and working in different locations that contributed to some missionary work. She was self-employed. Her wish was to work for herself. She had an entrepreneurial spirit and always wanted to help people. She was a healer at heart and into healing arts and was extremely intuitive. Janie loved her Tarot reading her cold Bud Light and jute box full of music. Janie loved to cook, loved cookouts, she was an amazing storyteller, and loved to make people laugh. She loved landscaping, gardening, and fishing with her husband Alfred Adams. Their favorite fishing spot was in Texas City.
Special thanks to all her care providers at Star of Texas Hospice (home health nurses and aides).
Janie is preceded in death by Alfred Adams and Edward Silva
Janie is survived by her five children, Gilbert, Julieta, Lucy, Julisa, John Mario. Also left to cherish her memory are her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great- great grandchildren. She loved all her Children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great- great grandchildren.
