Juanita "Tita" Salazar, 90, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Aug. 8, 2014 with her loving family by her side. She was born on June 24, 1924 in Temple, TX. Juanita is preceded in death by her parents Jose & Juliana Munoz, her husband of 67 years Porfirio Sr., son Tony and grandson Oscar Garcia.
She is survived by her daughters, Gloria Garcia, Rose Mary Medina (Eddie), sons, Porfirio Jr. (Linda) and Arthur (Yeannette), daughter in law Gloria, 22 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, 22 great great grandchildren, 2 sisters and numerous extended family members and friends.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A visitation will be held on Monday, August 11, 2014 from 5-9 PM with a rosary at 7 PM. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at 11 AM with interment immediately following at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. All services will take place in the Main Chapel of Forest Park Lawndale. Arrangements under the direction of Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, Houston, TX.
