

She resided with her husband Kenneth Ray Tinnin, who was the love of her life for 66 years, in Houston, Texas prior to his passing in 2022. Juanita was one of two children born to Irene Mathis.
Juanita is survived by her children; Dale Tinnin and wife Shirley, Bobby Tinnin and wife Susan, grandchildren; Michael Tinnin and wife Annie, Robert Tinnin and wife Amanda, Chelsea Krakowiak and husband Joshua, Craig Tinnin and wife Ashlyn, great grandchildren; Kynleigh, Eli, Rhett, and Austin Tinnin, Emma and Ellie Krakowiak and brother Alton Mathis.
Juanita was preceded in death by her Husband Kenneth Ray Tinnin and Mother Irene Mathis.
Juanita met her future husband Kenneth in 1955, shortly after his discharge from the U.S. Army. They tied the knot in November of that same year in Houston, Texas. Their deep affection for one another was always evident and they always presented themselves as a united front. Together, they raised their family with unwavering support and devotion. Their bond was a true testament to love and commitment.
She had a long and successful career with Southwestern Bell/AT&T in Houston, Texas. She began working for Southwestern Bell at the age of 16 in 1948 as a telephone operator and retired in 1991.
After retirement, her and Kenneth’s lives revolved around family, traveling around the country and beyond, frequent trips to Nacogdoches and their place on Lake Limestone. They both loved to fish and would often go to Rockport or Lake Limestone to fish and enjoy time with their friends.
Juanita was deeply devoted to her family. She regularly attended Kenneth’s softball games and enthusiastically supported her children in baseball, scouting, and any other activities they pursued. Later, she continued this tradition by cheering on her grandchildren at their games and events. A member of the Pioneer Club, Juanita found great joy in volunteering with the organization, further reflecting her dedication to her community and loved ones. She was a shining light, mentor to her sons, grandchildren, great grandchildren and anyone else that she encountered.
Juanita was a remarkable woman, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, leaving behind a legacy cherished by many. As a devoted Christian, she radiated extraordinary love for others, always offering kind words to those around her. Her strength and independence were truly inspiring, and her spirit will live on through her children and all who were touched by her warmth and kindness. Juanita will never be forgotten and will be dearly missed.
