She was born in, Lucoma, North Carolina, on December 28, 1940. June graduated from San Jacinto College and received an Associates degree in Computer Science. She was married to Jerry Terry Sowden on December 24, 1981. June had a career as a Business Office Manager at Wood Group. She had a passion for Silver Sneaker at the YMCA and crossword puzzles.
She was survived by her children; Terry Sowden Giancaterino, Janice Sowden Foraker, Brittany Sowden, Grandchildren; Jennifer Baluk, Monique Williams, Kristina Beggs, Ian Norris, Shawn Foraker, Branden Opp, Joshua Foraker, Cory Foraker.
A visitation for June will be held Friday, October 8, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. A funeral service will occur Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 2:00 PM. A graveside service will follow Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
