

Juventino was born on September 6, 1924, in Monterrey, Mexico. As a young man, he immigrated to the United States with his wife and family, where they built a life rooted in hard work, faith, and devotion to family. Together, Juventino and his wife, Gloria U Tamez, shared 73 years of marriage, raising their family and creating a home that became a gathering place for generations.
Juventino was known for his strong work ethic and spent many years working as a dental technician. Beyond his professional life, he was deeply involved in his community and parish. Alongside his wife, he was a longtime member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Houston, where he generously gave his time and talents through cooking, fundraising, and parish events. Many remember him for his warmth, steady presence, and especially for the meals he prepared that brought people together.
Juventino was preceded in death by his sons, Alejandro Tamez and Carlos Tamez.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Gloria U. Tamez; his daughters Lia Gutierrez (Heberto Gutierrez), Araceli “Sally” Silva (Lee Silva), Magdalena Lara (Sabino Lara), and Raquel Tamez (Keith Benson); his grandchildren Angelica Sanchez, Erik Gutierrez, Melissa Silva, Sabino Lara III, Adam Lara, Alexis Tamez, Aliza Tamez, and Jonathan Tamez; and his great-grandchildren Joaquin Sanchez, Sofia Raquel Sanchez, Carlos Ponce, Samantha Ponce, and Aidan Lara. He is also lovingly remembered by extended family, friends, and parish community.
Juventino will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather—a man of integrity, generosity, and quiet strength who showed his love through action, service, and care for others.
A visitation will be held at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, located at 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023, on December 18, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
The funeral service is scheduled for December 19, 2025, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 4918 Cochran St, Houston, TX 77009, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
The committal service will follow on December 19, 2025, at Forest Park East Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
