Katherine Brun

The Rev. Katherine Brun, age 58, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2016. Born in Mississippi, she was a Pastor in The United Methodist Church and had served as the Director of Spiritual Formation of the Texas Annual Conference. She was also a Pastor in the United Church of Christ. She was the creator and founder of the Charis Spiritual Director Training Program and was instrumental in developing the Cramer Center that brought UM retreat space to Houston. And she was very active in the walk to Emmaus. She is survived by her wife, Tia G. Wilkinson; children, Lynn Wilkinson and wife Heather, Kimberly Garcia and husband David, Evan Wilkinson and partner Eliza, Ian Wilkinson and partner Emily, and Benjamin Wilkinson; grandchildren, Triston Saldivar, Liam Wilkinson, Vivienne Wilkinson, and Ariel Garcia; brothers, Joe Weston and wife Janet and Gene Weston; sister, Joy Arnold; 1 niece and several nephews. The Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 8, 2016 in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven.
