Kathryn L. (Wiggins) Wilson, age 89, passed away at home on September 27, 2018 in Houston. Kathryn was born February 10, 1929 to William H. and Lena A. Wiggins in Houston, Texas. Kathryn was preceded in death by her beloved husband Neal S. Wilson Jr., her parents William H. and Lena A. Wiggins, a sister Marian Wiggins, and brother William H. (Bill) Wiggins, Jr. Kathryn is survived by her children; Michael Neal, Bunny, Patrick Lewis and Nancy Kidston; grandchildren, Erin and husband Paul, Sean, Rachel and Nicholas; great-grandson Gabriel, as well as other cherished family and friends. Kathryn graduated from Jefferson Davis High School in Houston in 1947. She went on to graduate from Texas College for Women and received her master’s degree from University of Houston. She was well traveled and studied vocal music in Texas, Illinois and Colorado. She worked at Tenneco for over 30 years. She married her high school sweetheart, Neal, on August 10th, 1974. She was a devout Christian and lifelong member of the Methodist Church. A member of Grace United Methodist Church since 1974, she was devoted to the church, choir and food pantry. The Family will receive friends from 4:00-8:00 pm Tuesday, October 2nd, 2018 at Heights Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, October 3rd, 2018 at the Heights Funeral Home, Interment will follow in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, Houston, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be made to Grace United Methodist Church Food Pantry, 1245 Heights Blvd., Houston, Texas 77008.
