Lillian Mae Trucks Warman, 90, was born on January 25th, 1926 in Rison, Arkansas and died on April 24th, 2016 in Houston, Texas. She graduated from Rison High School. She met and then married her wonderful husband, Robert E. Warman, shortly before he left for World War II and they were happily married for 49 years.
Lillian was a very kind and generous person who made everyone feel welcome. She was extremely accomplished at gardening, sewing, cooking and she loved to travel. She had a tremendous gift of caring for all people and was a mom to everyone that knew her.
When her three children were growing up, she kept a close eye on them by volunteering as a homeroom mom, Cub Scout leader and PTA mom. She spent many a late night sewing her children’s clothing, Halloween costumes and countless numbers of school choir dresses. Her child raising did not stop with her own children, as she contributed greatly to the care and development of her four grandchildren. Her lifetime of volunteering also included an enormous number of hours working in kitchens to feed the homeless and years were spent clipping coupons for military families to use throughout the world.
In addition to her volunteering, Lillian had a long career in the accounting department of United Jewelers.
Lillian was a firm believer in God and was a devoted member of Airline Methodist Church for over 50 years.
Lillian Warman lived a long and fulfilling life and will be dearly missed by all of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Lillian was preceded in death by her husband Robert E. Warman, son Charles Everett Warman, grandson Jason Warman, daughter-in-law Belva Hogan Warman, brothers Vernon Trucks, Grover “Bud” Trucks and Herschel Trucks along with her mother, Freddie Bowerman Trucks and her father, Charlie Trucks. She is survived by her son Freddie Warman, daughter Patricia A. Warman-Schneider, granddaughters Stacie Warman DuFour, Lannie Warman and Elizabeth Schneider, her great grandchildren Trace Reed and Morgan Reed along with her son-in-law Scott Schneider, daughter-in-law Marlene Warman, grandson-in-law Neil DuFour and her niece Kathy Schulte.
