Lillian was born on May 25, 1937, in Houston, TX. Lillian married Miguel R. Zermeño on December 31, 1953. Their marriage of 70 years was a testament to love, faith, and partnership; a bond that weathered every storm and celebrated every joy with devotion. Together, they built a family rooted in deep love and mutual respect.
Lillian was known for her beautiful soul, which touched everyone she met. She had an extraordinary ability to see the good in people, always choosing to focus on the positives in life. Her kindness and warmth were felt by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Lillian's love for music was a defining part of her life. She was especially fond of artists like Freddy Fender and Linda Ronstadt, whose songs would make her sing and swoon. Her favorite tunes brought back cherished memories and brightened her days. But there was nothing like the energy and joy that Mambo No. 5 by Perez Prado would bring—no matter when it played, it was sure to get her moving and dancing with enthusiasm
One of her greatest joys was her love for scratch-offs, which brought her happiness and a sense of excitement with her winnings. Lillian's zest for life and her devotion to her family were the heart of everything she did.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Vincente & Agatha Montes; Brothers: Louie, Vincent & Robert Montes; Sisters: Christina Montes, Dolores Johnson & Louisa Cordova. Along with Granddaughter Paige Zermeño.
Left to cherish her beautiful memory is her beloved Husband, Miguel R. Zermeño, and their Children: Gilda (Henry) Soria, Michael (Emily) Zermeño, Angela (Joe) Sanchez, Monica (Sam) Jordan, Alexander Zermeño, and Catarina (Javier) Martinez. Lillian is also survived by her Grandchildren (14), Great-Grandchildren (15), and a Great-Great-Grandchild, who all held a special place in her heart. Along with numerous nieces and nephews.
