Linda Diane Dillard was born in Dallas, Texas May 30, 1942 and went home to be with our Lord Thursday, November 21, 2019 at age 77. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Dillard: parents Mary and Bill Gorham and Price Washer; sisters Daphne Kretzschmar and Helen Koerner; and grandson Connor Patterson.
Linda graduated from Milby High School in 1959 where she was a Coed Cadette. She enjoyed crafting and camping, and spent many years with her family at “the Campground” in Conroe. Linda had many jobs throughout her life, with her most recent being The Houston Post and Forest Park Lawndale and Heights Funeral Homes.
Linda’s favorite activity, by far, was being a grandmother to her 4 grandchildren who knew her as “Grammy.” Grammy was present at all functions, softball and football games, band concerts, dance recitals, and anything else they asked her to attend.
She is survived by her children Scott Patterson and wife, Cyndi and Steven Patterson and wife, Lori. She is also survived by her grandchildren Nicole Brunson and husband Austin; Stephanie Cates and husband Thomas; Garrett Patterson and wife Kim; and Saige Crowder. She leaves behind great grandchildren Cable and Daken Brunson, Paige Patterson and Addison Cates.
Pall Bearers are Scott Patterson, Steven Patterson, Garrett Patterson, Austin Brunson, Thomas Cates, and Kyle Benavidez.
Funeral services will be held at Forest Park Lawndale Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 1:30 with a graveside following. Visitation with the family will be from 12:30 – 1:30 immediately preceding the services.
