
Linda was born August 30,1940, to Claude and Ethel Reynolds in Houston, Texas. She was baptized, then became a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Houston. Linda was actively involved in her church throughout most of her life.
Linda was raised in West University Place and attended West University Elementary School. She graduated from Houston’s San Jacinto High School, where she was a member of the Gaucho Marching Drill Team. Linda graduated from and taught as a graduate instructor in chemistry at Southwest Texas State College in San Marcos, Texas.
Linda taught math at Friendswood High School (Texas). In the late 1960’s, she joined NASA Johnson Space Center. After working 30 years as a Computer Programmer supporting NASA’s Apollo and Space Shuttle Programs, Linda retired and moved to Lockhart, Texas to be near her family.
Linda is preceded in death by ex-spouse Richard Kirbie and their daughter Joanne Kirbie Tanner (Lockhart, Texas).
Linda is survived by her brother Joel Reynolds and by her three dearly-loved grandchildren Lauren Brewer, Zachary Tanner and Brandon Tanner, and by her five great grandchildren.
A private graveside service for the family will be held January 2, 2026 at Houston’s Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
