

Lola Annette Fenner Hains was born on March 6, 1923 in West Columbia, Texas, to William Bell and Lola Althea Myers Fenner. She died Wednesday, May 24, 2017 in The Woodlands, Texas following a long illness. Annette was predeceased by her husband, Robert. C. Hains, and her siblings, Delores Walthal, William Fenner, Jr., and Charles Fenner, MD. She is survived by her sisters in law, Margie and Camilla Fenner, daughter Lockie Baugh and husband Tom, son Frank (Bud) Woodruff and wife Kara, daughter Tish Meehan, and son Matt Woodruff and wife Margaret. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild.
She graduated from Karnes City High School, then attended Texas State Women’s College. She lived in Austin and El Paso, but the Houston area was home from 1963 onward. She devoted her life to her children and grandchildren and, above all else, was a mom. In the mid 1970s, she embarked on a career in real estate, becoming a licensed broker. Following retirement, she focused on her family until progressive dementia deprived her of the ability to be their beloved “Mimi.” Through her long illness, she never lost her smile and maintained a gentle disposition until her final days.
Funeral services will be held on Monday May 29, 2017 in the Chapel of Angels at Forest Park Lawndale. The visitation will begin at 10:00AM and service at 11:00AM.
